Parvathy Omanakuttan
The Kerala Samajam marked the conclusion of the Onam celebrations in Bangalore with a Mahasangamam in November 2009, that was attended by Kerala Minister of Devaswom, Kadannapally Ramachandran, Oscar award winner Rasool Pookkutty and Miss World first runner-up Parvathy Omanakuttan.The Onam celebrations in Bangalore were initially scheduled to start on October 11, 2009. However, owing to the floods that wreaked havok in North Karnataka, the Samajam decided to postpone the celebration, said general secretary of Kerala Samajam, Bangalore, Rejikumar.
